Data collection on our websites

User-generated content and media

As part of the functionality of the Service, you may create, upload, or store content, such as subjects, tasks or revision questions. If you choose to write and submit a community revision question, this content becomes visible to other users. Please be mindful of including any personally identifiable information (PII) within your public posts. There is a moderation process in place for such questions, and therefore if the post contains any PII, the moderation process will be rejected and it will not be made public. If you upload images to this Service (e.g., for use in questions), you are responsible for the content of those images. We strongly recommend that users avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Other visitors to the Service may be able to download these images and extract any location data stored within them. We reserve the right to remove user-generated content that violates our Terms of Service or is deemed inappropriate, though we are under no obligation to monitor all content.

AI-generated content

We use a large language model (LLM) in order to provide automatic marking for some types of question, such as written or extended response questions. This means that we send some data to OpenAI, our LLM provider. This data does not include any personally identifiable information, such as email addresses. All data that is sent to their servers is not shared with the company, with the exception of essential data required for operation of their services and monitoring of abuse.

If you do not wish for your data to be processed by OpenAI, then do not use our in-app AI-enabled features. These are all clearly marked at the bottom of their respective pages.

Children's Privacy and Age Restrictions

Protecting the privacy of young students is especially important to us. The Service is intended for users who are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. For users in jurisdictions where the age of digital consent is higher than 13 (e.g., 16 in certain EU member states), we do not knowingly process data without verifiable parental consent where required by law. If we become aware that a child under 13 (or the relevant legal age in their jurisdiction) has provided us with personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will take immediate steps to delete that account and all associated data from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at contact@revision-time.com so we can remove the data.
