Most Recent Update

v1.3.2

18 May 2026

  • Improved topic lists and how the website reads from specifications.
  • Several Bugfixes and Quality improvements.
  • Laid down a few foundations for future updates!

I know, I know, this is a small update! But we are working on adding more notes and exam questions, plus our developer is currently doing A-Level exams so he's a bit busy!

Other Updates

v1.3.1

16 May 2026

  • Implemented several security fixes and feature improvements.
  • ChatRT will no longer hallucinate specifications, but will only give you proper specifications if we have added the specification to the website.
  • Added a request feature for subjects, because we want to add the subjects to help you!
  • Various other bugfixes and quality of life improvements.

v1.3.0

11 May 2026

  • Apparently v1.2.0 was our biggest update yet... surely v1.3.0 can't beat it. Right?
  • New tool! Practice past paper questions by topic with Exam Questions!
    • Just like Community Revision Questions, you can filter Exam Questions to your liking, and then find actual past paper questions for subjects.
    • Please note, while we are working on adding these over time, it will be a while until all subjects are available. If you have any requests, get in touch!
  • Introducing Chests, Profile Customisation and Boosts!
    • We were the first to admit v1.2's wheel for levelling up wasn't the best. It didn't inspire. You know what does inspire? Our new chests and cards system! Get a chest when you level up and most chests contain 3 cards.
    • Cards can unlock boring stuff like credits or exciting stuff like new customisation options for your profile (more coming soon).
    • Boosts are another thing you can get with cards. They have a whole host of new effects!
    • If you find any issues with this system, please contact us so we can make it better!
  • Introducing our News tab and a whole host of other changes.
    • In the app, there's now a news tab to give you revision tips and inform you of the latest updates and features.
    • We have improved the dashboard and timetable pages - they now look so nice. You can also get dedicated tools based on your weekly timetable, including revision timers and quick links.
    • We have improved the analytics page for community question creators, so you can see how your questions are doing at a glance. We have also added a new "fill in the blank" question type.
      • To create a question like this, type in a sentence or two, then click on a few words. One of these words will randomly blank out for the question answerer.
      • To answer a question, just type what the blank should be. Simple!
    • For more information on any new features, visit the news tab for the dedicated article on this update.
  • Various other quality changes have been made:
    • Shaped Notes can now contain images and maths equations to expand our future horizons.
    • Disable gamification features in settings.
  • And various bugfixes have been added.
  • We have refined some existing shaped notes. These will no longer appear on updates, but can now be added without the need for a full app update, meaning that more will appear as soon as we are ready to release them.
  • This will be the last app update before mid-June, as the main app developer has exams too (wish him luck for his A-Levels)! We will release shaped notes and revision tips in this time though.

v1.2.0

26 April 2026

  • Our biggest update yet! This update includes ways to completely rethink how you revise and more tools to bring all your revision to one place.
  • New tools! Get explanations that you can trust with tutors, or get explanations with the click of a button with ChatRT!
    • Tutors is a new way to book tutors online. Search for tutors by subject, choose a slot and pay, all through Revision Time. You can even give your tutor a rating after your session if they have done a really good job!
    • ChatRT - your tailored AI study companion. Using an AI model to help you revise seems like the normal nowadays, so why flick through thousands of browser tabs when you can find chatRT directly in Revision Time. So far, it can chat to you based on your selected subject, but we are designing new ways to integrate it elsewhere in future!
  • Introducing RP and Levels!
    • RP (Revision Points) can be gained when you are actively revising on our website. Collect these in order to get to the next level.
    • Levels, gained when you have enough RP show you how committed you are to revision. Plus, when you level up, you can spin a wheel and get free credits or extra RP. We are working on some more rewards for our next update (avatars anyone?)
  • Introducing Classrooms: A new control panel for teachers. In Revision Time classrooms, you can track how your students are doing in your subject and allow their most difficult topics and questions to be delivered to you instantly! To set up a classroom, create one through settings and once it is created and active, you can access it any time from your sidebar.
  • Various other quality changes have been made:
    • Settings now has 5 different tabs, so you can quickly find the settings that you need.
    • We have redesigned the dashboard, so you can find what you need, fast!
  • We have fixed the issues some of you were having with pinned tools and the bug where CRQs would just... not work, along with several other bugs.

v1.1.0

18 April 2026

  • New tools! Power up your learning with Progress and Exam Builder!
    • Progress allows you to track your success over CRQs that you answer, identifying weak areas and directly linking to relevant notes and questions to help you learn. This is such a powerful tool for working on weak areas and revising effectively.
    • Exam Builder allows you to select a subject, and then restrict topics to create a realistic exam paper built from our community revision questions. Either use auto-marking to get an instant grade, or export it as a PDF and get realistic practice for exams!
  • Introducing Revision Time: Dark Mode. With the flick of a toggle, you can change the colours to a simple colour scheme you can rely on at night. Revise easy.
  • Various other quality changes have been made:
    • You may remove all AI tools and features with the flick of a toggle.
    • You can now link your Google account and export your timetable directly to Google calendar.
    • School hour blocking has been moved to the commitments tab - turn it on or off from there, but still free for users without a pro subscription.
    • Switch tabs with Hotkeys in order to streamline your revision. Set your own hotkeys in settings.
  • Various bugfixes have been made, particularly around Shaped Notes.
  • 6 more Shaped Notes have been added for A-Level Computer Science.

v1.0.1

12 April 2026

  • New tool! Say hello to Commitments! This is our first "pro only" tool to give some more perks to those who want to keep Revision Time going. You can block school hours, but what if you have a swimming lesson, or football practice, or a 7-hour movie marathon round Fred's house. We got you! You can now input custom commitments and let the revision timetable do the figuring out*. Here's how to get started:
    • Enter a name for it if you want, then how frequently it repeats.
      • One-off: Happens once.
      • Daily: Happens every day, same time, starting on the date you set.
      • Weekly: Happens every week, same day, same time, starting on the date you set.
      • Biweekly: Happens every two weeks, same day, same time, starting on the date you set.
    • Enter a beginning and end time, and the first day it will happen on.
    • Then, click save. Your timetables will automatically exclude these times.

  • Other changes:
    • Improved user experience and app design.
      • We changed the look of the sidebar. Now, on desktop, you can pin your five favourite tools to the sidebar for easy access, and get to the rest by clicking tools on the sidebar.
    • Moved question analytics to its own tool.
    • You can now change your username and password from the settings menu.
    • Fixed some bugs.

* The commitments tool was designed to be used in conjunction with our benchmark Revision Timetable Generator tool. So far, it has no other uses.

v1.0.0

11 April 2026

  • Finally! It's here! Launched the new Revision Time Web Application.
  • The app contains the following features at present:
    • Automatic Revision Timetable Generator
    • Community Revision Questions - reimagined
    • A limited number of shaped notes. These will be added over time for some subjects. If you would like us to add shaped notes for your subject, then contact us.
    • New features to add subjects and tasks
    • Credits: A new feature currency system. For the features that cost us money to operate, we will charge you credits for them. Buy credits, upgrade your plan, or publish community revision questions and receive responses to get more.*
  • We cannot guarantee that this release will be totally free of bugs, sadly. If you find any, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
  • We aim to release updates to the website every two weeks, unless they are urgent fixes that must happen. This could include new tools and features, and will almost certainly include new shaped notes and bugfixes.

* Hint: To maximise credits income for your community revision questions, we recommend picking a high-volume, low-competition area. This means that find a subject which hasn't been covered yet, but lots of students do that subject. (Filters will only show subjects that have been covered, so if it's not on the filter, it has no questions)
